ISLAND FIRM RECEIVES OUTSTANDING RETAILING AWARD

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI (OCT 26, 2006) – Sherwood BMR, one of the Island’s leading building supplies companies, came home from this year's National Hardware Show in Toronto with some new hardware of their own. The Island-owned and operated dealer won Hardware Merchandising Magazine's Outstanding Retailer Award as Canada's Best Contractor Specialist Retailer.

Gary MacLeod, Co-Owner of Sherwood BMR, accepted the award at the ceremony in Toronto. While pleased with the company's recognition, he was not surprised by the honor. “People here take an incredible amount of pride and ownership in their work and it shows in the quality of relationships we have with our customers, says MacLeod. “This award is a reflection of their hard work, expertise and ability to stay in touch with the changing building needs of Islanders.
